I'm in the hunt for a new TV and have just stumbled upon this one. It seems a great price for a 42" Plasma but I know theres no 1080p. If your just going to be using this for general TV watching and not gaming then I see no issue there.

Hmm, the speakers aren't very good in this then? :( How do they compare to the Panasonic pls?  They are still ok for general TV watching though, but if you have a blu-ray set up and you're going for the cinema experience, I'd recommend getting a hi-fi system or a high-end PC audio system to support it. |

Ah brilliant, thank you! I'm thinking of getting one of these for my parents as a Christmas present, and I'm not sure if they'd ever really get a proper decent sound system, but we'll see I guess! This TV is a great price so leaves room for some new speakers or whatever
