I dont suppose anyone on here could help, but ive asked all over the place if getting a pair of powerline adapters will conflict with the BT ones i currently use for BT Vision?

BT wont commit to an answer, the guys at my local Maplins didnt know and like wise the guys at PC world and my local Currys dont either.

My question really is, will i still need to have one of these plugged into my router even though i have a BT one already plugged in, if it doesnt cause interferance with the BT one's in the first place.

Sorry - just noticed it's free delivery on orders over £49.99 so you need to buy something else to qualify. I have amended the title accordingly.

I've got no idea about their compatibility with other HomePlug brands - I've just got these...

The BT ones will be the non-Powerline/Homeplug variety, will they not?

The Zyxel 401 units should work with them, but I've found the Zyxels not to work well with other brands, despite being supposed to.

They do actually work with my Linksys ones, but the 'House' light doesn't come on on the Zyxels when I do this.

There are alot of these around, and all the talk of "non-compliance" seems to come from one person.

Is that really a reason to shout "DO NOT BUY"?

I'm not convinced.....tell me more

Great product they are not cross compatible even with same homeplug firmware unless by same manufacturer in my experience. For online gaming, file transfer and general network use its impossible to explain how much better these are than wifi.

I picked up one of these the other week to use with the tv gear (xbox's , media player etc), it manages about 150Mbps on my wires.

As a tip also grab an old white sky router from ebay for £10-£15, turn off dhcp on these and they turn into a cheap switch, plug that into the homeplug and you get 3 ports and another wi-fi point.
