WTD: Asus EEE 901 Windows Recovery Image

Hi Guys

My daughters EEE has come up with a problem on boot and even though under warranty they won't fix it as they say she deleted something. :-( She says she didn't but hey ho.

Where can I get hold of an image for the 12GB Asus? I have COA for xp so I don't need that, I just need an image I can boot off USB stick ( Or a usb dvd drive at a push)

try a external cd drive or try n boot from a network and format n reinstall windows using the disc? or standard iso from a torrent?

couldn't find an image anywhere

I have many copies of XP for normal PCs and as I say a COA for her EEE but as its an EEE i believe you need a special image

Is it illegal to get a copy of the 'restore dvd'?

Not the COA just the dvd itself?

a normal xp disc will work fine all you will need to do after install is download the correct drivers/apps from the asus site
