£45.71 for cutlery !! Some people have too much money. Or not enough sense.

Only thing more shocking than that would be paying £165 for them.

I wonder if Her Majesty will be ordering these?

Cheaper sets at Wilkinsons...

Don't worry, I'm only joking! Looks like a good deal for the people that enjoy the finer things in life.

Totally agree and we should get everything from Poundland - hang on a minute?

Other people pay 100 Pounds for jeans or 40 Pounds for a football-shirt, why not paying 45 Pounds for something that you put in your mouth every day?

As with most Amazon 'massive' bargains (although not all), the RRP is only charged on the manufacturer's own website.

Standard price for this everywhere else is £75.00, still, 40% off is still a good deal for these IMO.

I'm sick of buying cheapo Argos jobs that go rusty in the dishwasher, but it doesn't say these are dishwasher safe either.

These shouldn't. They are 18/10 (Grade 304) stainless steel.

To be honest, good quality stainless steel shouldn't rust in a dishwasher unless there is something wrong with your salt reservoir.

Manufacturers usually dodge this question.

18/10 stainless steel will be "safe" to go into the dishwasher (they definitely won't rust), but if you want to keep that polished mirror finish for longer then you are better off with careful handwashing.

I take the point on price - even the wife baulked a bit when I told her this morning - but this should be quality stuff.

I also checked the price elsewhere before I bought - RRP's should always be taken with a pinch of salt - and I'm quite happy with the Amazon price in this instance
