DVD & Home Media Player, MP4, USB £14.98 @ Daily Express

£14.98

185°

FOUND BY: Stiffy1231 2 weeks, 1 day ago

STARTS: 07/11/2009

My first deal posted so be gentle !
Its also in the Daily Express today and available online, by phone or using the link provided.
Its aleged to play most media files including DVDs, MP3, MP4 & JPG Discs and has a USB Port on the front so you can also plug-in your USB Data Stick or (I am guessing here) play content from any other USB device.
For a shade under £15 delivered - I'd say its a bargain.
Cheers :)

I don't know what to make of this.

Can't find it on the daily express website, and the address seems a different company.

From the terms & conditions
"4 All products featured on this site are "free" meaning that no charge is made for the item itself."

But the DVD player is £9.99 + p&p?

The Express did a DVD player deal a few years back and it was an Alba one from memory.

"(I am guessing here) play content from any other USB device."

You sure are... there is NO guarantee of that, I myself have one that will NOT see anything other than USB flash sticks, and it even knows if you try and connect it through a USB hub!

Looks like the terms are taken from one of their web sites (Useful if you've missed any newspaper/magazine freebies)

Its genuine enough.
I bought the Daily Express (well the Mother-in-Law did !) and found the web site directly from the information provided.
The fact it states it plays MP4 means it 'SHOULD' play DIVX and XVID files too.

Well it's cheap-ish, Aldi were selling some for I think £17.99 a couple of weeks ago, with a 3 year warranty too if I remember right, so hardly the big bargain of a lifetime as they are so cheap anyway - there was a thread on here. Similarly a few months ago, Tesco had them even CHEAPER (http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/43602...r-reduced-agai) which put them under a tenner - they come along all the time, and some have been well specified and well reviewed!

So, if they don't support USB Hard disks, I wouldn't bother buying one at all, and wait until the next one comes along -I have one with HDMI, that doesn't work with Hard disks and it is a waste of time as it is a matter of remembering to transfer the specific file you want to watch every time
