Sony Ericsson W995 for £25 with internet @ Three

£25.00

-17°

FOUND BY: gummby 2 weeks, 2 days ago

I was on the phone to Three today to renew my contract. After being told my account was elligble for the HTC hero as it was not in Stock the guy offered me the W995.

I was told as a special off he would throw in mobile internet and a 8gb memory card for free.

Is this a good deal?? He kept going on about the mmega pixel camera which appears to have got bad reviews online.

The offer he seemed to be offering seemed to have the internet and 8gb memory card free over what they offer online.

Any thoughts??? Is this phone really worth the money? Whats it like for mobile internet?

It's the best phone i've ever had, i love it. Internet works great, use the internet app, not the wap built in thing. The camera is good i think, and the 8gig card comes with it anyway.

300 min and 300 texts. So £24.57 less the vat isnt that great a deal. Its only £5 of the website price.

So the 8gb card comes with the phone.

When did the phone come out??

Is the HTC Hero or the soon to come N900 better?

I am extremely ****** off they refused to offer me the HTC model. Wasted 40 mins on the phone.

Yes 8gig card comes with it, don't let them tell you otherwise

Trouble is he spends so long giving the marketing talk its hard to get a word in. I really do think they just talk from crib sheets.

I would ring up and go to cancel department, and see what they might offer you by saying your leaving.

Hope that helps

I would be wary about renewing contract over the phone, they offered me free internet as well but after the first month I noticed them charging me.Denied they ever said it.Then wouldnt let me cancel cos I was in a new 18 month contract. This was standard practice at the start of the year. They would say anything to get you to take out the new contract.(This was last Jan)There was plenty of forums with people complaining the same had happened to them.I would get everything in writing,or better still just cancel and go elsewhere.

Thats what I did first. The lady kept telling me my account was not allowed or acceptable for the HTC phone. It almost sounded like she was saying some customers can have the phone but others cant.

The cancellation guy told me it was out of stock!! it would of been simpler if the lady had said that.

So what phone would you lot reccommend? Any better deals going?

It's definitely a good phone this - very well reviewed.

It's currently on offer for £200 at Phones4U. Would love to own it myself but haven't got the dough. The Orange one has been confirmed as being unlocked and debranded and probably the Vodafone one too.

Check this thread on the deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/50821...dafone-orange-
