Wife bought 1 of these last month from Argos for this price so not too special a deal really, this was before the sale catalogue.
They work fine and I can also confirm they work with Nintendo ds's, I touch's and a Samsung i900. We changed our old 1 because it wouldn't work with the I touch after the latest update and my Samsung i900 didn't like the old 1 either. They seem to have good compatability.
Could be seen as a plus or a neg but they recode your password to something which is impossible to remember so you need to write it down, it's a pain in the backside when you want to conect something new but better for security.
All in all easy to use and seem pretty good.

Bought a non 'N' belkin wireless years ago,the 'wireless' was useless and I went for a 'cheap' powerline from Scan which did work with that 'wireless' belkin using a LAN cable, expensive lump of junk; yeah well it's working 'non-wireless' now with a powerline (I'm glad I discovered POWERLINE).

From previous post sounds like this price will go down,so unless youre desperate.

More people have ADSL than cable.

This router supports 300mbps with 40mhz channel width. So pretty good there.

Unfortunately, it only has 100mbps LAN ports. Which is kinda crazy, as the LAN speed will pretty much halve the transfer rates you'll probably get with the wireless.

It's a good price.

And more cars are petrol than diesel. Doesn't mean posting "HALF PRICE DIESEL" for a petrol deal, then stating "more people use petrol than diesel" is overly helpful ;)

I'd suggest the OP changes the title to "ADSL Router" in order to get attention from people who are likely to be interested in the deal.

For the record, it looks a good price to me - and yes it's a shame about the 10/100 ports but unfortunately that's still the norm for now.

Isn't the point that this is not a ADSL(standard telephone line) router but a cable router?

well, it'd sure be unusual for a non-ADSL router to have an RJ-11, I'm happy to bet this is ADSL ;)

It ISN'T an ADSL router it has an RJ45 Ethernet interface for it's WAN would make it suitable for connecting to Cable Modem or a separate DSL modem with an Ethernet output.

The most likely explanation is Argos got the description wrong, it does not have an RJ11 interface according to the spec-sheet from Belkin.

http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=461161

Odd that it only supports a maximum of 16 Wireless devices

I got one of these yesterday - so far, its working great with 2x laptops plus PS3 & PSP. Remote play with PSP also works well. I'm using it on a 10MB Virgin cable connection - thanks to OP.

Ref all the discussion above about ADSL or Cable router, I can confirm the item I bought (675/7742) from Argos is a cable router (even has words 'For Cable Connections' on front of box) - so maybe this thread should go back to how it was with 'Cable' in the description!

Is the conclusion then that this does NOT perform as a modem/router for ADSL connections? Or does it do both?
