Allow pre releases prices / pre orders - or don't. Stop messing around

This whole CODMW2 business. I've seen loads of threads expired, moved to misc, reinstated, moved back again etc that its getting boring.

It seems to me that you either need to allow people to post info before hand, or don't. People who lie could be banned, thus making it a bit of a silly idea to try nd grab a bit of heat by posting a false deal - it's going to cost you your account here.

The best way I can see round it is to split misc (as has been mentioned multiple times) into nonsense and heads ups, whereby you could still vote hot/cold in the heads up section, and move across to the deals forum once it has been confirmed

At the end of the day if a product in the deals section has no stock its expired, well if its pre release info there is also no stock and should be treated similar. The info is useful though and the heat system (which works well in the main) would allow us to see the hottest tips, pre orders, whatever

Thoughts?

They should just be posted in "Deals", and expired until confirmed.
Why ban someone for a "Heads up" that turns out to be incorrect.

It's not a major problem...........just happens with big games like Modern Warfare 2 so the current system works ok for the few times it happens a year.

Why is the current system boring you?

If you look at the subscribed threads in your own Profile then the hyperlinks to the listings whichever section they are moved to are updated & remain valid to follow the deal listings.

Perhaps if there was a facility to tag deals as "rumour" & an option to include or exclude these in the main deal listings then you can elect to view or not view them to suit your preference.
