EXPIRED - Asus X58L laptop - just £200 @ Asda Living

£200.00

325°

FOUND BY: DavidL 1 week, 6 days ago

STARTS: 07/11/2009

Asus laptop with 15.4inch screen - just £200. This is the one that was £319 at Argos and is now reduced to £269 at Argos - all of which is totally irrelevant as Argos have not had any stock for ever and ever. Grrr.

Anyway (deep breaths, calm, calm) - now being cleared out at the Asda Living store in Bristol (Eastville, opposite Ikea) for just £200. Ticket showed a reduction from £250. Three left on the shelf. Haven't seen these in regular Asda stores so may just be Asda Living where stock moves more slowly.

Only disadvantage of this machine to my mind is no CD/DVD.

Dread to think of the total contract term cost versus cost of the laptop

This is the worst laptop ive ever had the displeasure of looking at. my neighbor bought one of these the exact same spec last year with Vista on. First thing was it had 1gb of memory and a pants CPU it couldn't run vista it was that bad it was unusable constant egg timer, I put another 1gb of ram in it and it was a bit better but still way to slow.

Next the SD card slot broke the spring went and you couldn't get the cards out. All in all its rubbish the build quality is terrible not what you would expect from Asus its highly underpowered and would be rubbish with XP installed do yourself a favour and spend a bit more or get a netbook because this will be the worst £200 you ever spend.

I have an emachines E520 that I keep as a spare with the exact same cpu and 1gb of ram and it runs vista perfectly fine.
