Reviews are a bit suspect!
I agree, the bike caught my eye when it was £149, felt it was a bit too much and the bad reviews were the only thing putting me off and still are I'll admit, though it makes me wonder, looking at the lastest one :

"after fitting everything onto the bike it lasted no longer then 1 day, the peddle on the left hand side broke off and not only that but all of the bolts come loose after a while of ridding. I had to take the bike to a shop to get everything sorted out and nothing has gone wrong since. Now i see why it was a bargin!"

That doesn't make the blindest bit of a sense to me for a bad review, surely he conceded the fact it hadn't been put together right Which makes me wonder whether most of the poor reviews are simply from people who haven't put it together right. Can't find any other reviews on the net and I've looked.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a build-your-own if you wasn't confident, I won't be putting mine together as I doubt I'd have a clue, I'll be getting my Dad round

How on Earth can someone not manage to do the above?

I remember when Muddy Fox made quality mountain bikes....

This one seems to be made (or re-badged I suspect) exclusively for Argos???
