Sony £100 tv trade in

POSTED BY: james02 2 weeks, 1 day ago

Where can I get a cheap/free crap tv to use as a trade in against a new Sony Bravia. Do you think I could get away with one from the local council tip when dropping off garage rubbish - or do you think the council workers will stop me !!

i asked the women at the council tip if i could have a look at the flat screens when i was helping my mate dump some stuff, all she said was no then walked away.

To get £100 off you would prob have to trade a 37" sony, im sure if you want the full £150* off its got to be a 46" sony

You would think that they would not be bothered with people removing things like this as it almost consitutes recycling. Looking at the 40" which I think has £100 off. Do you think they would accept a broken in car twin dvd system ?

Hi there. You can trade in any size, any make, any model TV working or not to get the money off. I work in a Sony Centre so i know the terms. It runs until october 19th.

basically its £50 off a 26", 32" and 37"

£100 off a 40"

£150 off a 46", 52" and 55"

Sony are doing the deal with other retailers, but remember most Sony Centres give a 5 year guarantee over a 3, are generally the same price as local retailers and can give you more info on the TV you are buying.

Hope this helps

Unsure as to whether the dvd player screens will be classed as TV's as they only play DVD's. Might give it a go with the helpful council workers while I am there anyway. Pretty sure of the response but you never know !!

just read the t&c's, looks like you can trade in any tv, the discount depends on the size of tv you buy not trade, and it looks like it did end on the 18th of october.

:
3.2 Purchases must be made between 21 August 2009 and 18 October 2009 to take advantage of this promotion. Purchases made after 18 October 2009 and/or from non-participating stores and/or of non eligible products will not be eligible under this promotion.

The money you save is the tv you buy.

Take in a 26 inch buy a 40 inch and save £100
Take in 26 inch buy a 32 inch and save £50

Council tips won't be able to give you anything electrical. Theres always old tellys being given away on freecycle though. Find out your nearest freecycle, sign up & post a 'wanted' ad for a telly.
Simples!
