Says its £18.99 per month. Where does £13.99 come from?

There are also activation fees and equipment fees to payout as well.

Misleading post. You do need a phone line also.... or you wouldnt be able to get broadband and get access to it.

Cold from me.

From website linked to in deal:

one off set up fees:

line activation: £9.99
equipment: free, or up to £29.99
equipment delivery: £8.99

i.e. Minimum set up fee of £18.98 applies (in terms at bottom of page)
Can't see anything about an ongoing contract (but I haven't looked that hard - just on the page linked to)

Edit: appears to be a month by month contract.

So £227.88 (plus one off set up fees of a minimum of £18.98)
Hmmm...guess this is only gonna go one way.

Why not use a Betamax VoIP service from your PC such as http://www.rynga.com and get calls for 1c/minute to India and no monthly fee ?
I have been using their InternetCalls service for years and it's very satisfactory for the price.
Try this site (it's out of date but will point you in the right direction for the Betamax branding most suited to your usage):
http://backsla.sh/betamax

Many of the services support SIP (ie using an ATA VoIP circuitry/box to log you onto the service) but NOT all of them - ie may have to use their PC hardware and potentially a USB box for the non-SIP ones.

for now it is cheaper to use 0844 numbers offerring just 0.5p per minute. (check connection charges by provider generally from 2-10p one time)
