Sharp BD-HP21H Blu-ray Player £79.99 @ the range. Ex Empire Direct stock.
I'm taking a punt on posting this but hope to cover everything here. This player is spec 1.1 and therefore will not be of any use to those who want to use the downloadable content of spec 2.0 via ethernet. However, if like me you really don't care for all the bells and whistles nonsense that has plagued home video formats since the introduction of DVD then this could be for you. Updatable via disc ( anyone with a PC built in the last decade should have the eqipment to be able to update this player ). If you don't think yourself capable then I bet you know someone who is. Get the geek who lives next door to do it for you and everyone's happy. Some people say it's an ugly player but it looks o.k. to me. Some say it take a while to load. Use that time to get some popcorn ready :)
So to summise. If you have a HD t.v and no HD source and you want to watch or rent Blu ray discs and don't want all the interactive rubbish that comes with it and prefer a branded product over a Curtis product then this is for you.
