Lacie External Hard Disk Drive 1TB is £49.99 + VAT = £57.49 at Makro.
Saw this in Makro Mail 25 available from 18th November so get there early if you want one. Please do not vote cold if you dont have or know anyone with a Makro card. The idea of this site is to inform people of deals.
Now for the technical bit.
The 1TB Hard Disk from LaCie is a high-capacity drive with a USB 2.0 interface, and a rotation speed of 7200rpm. The drive is capable of data transfer rates up to 35MB/sec, making it an excellent solution for video editing, high resolution imaging, data backup or general storage. It features a striking design by Neil Poulton, making it an aesthetically pleasing addition to any desk.

1TB holds 75 hours of DV video, 212 movies, or 250,000 MP3s

Agree with the above poster Lacie are alot like Apple (and ironically usually targeted at Apple users), good quality but overpriced so surely a great deal.

They had then in stock at Glasgow branch last week....all sold out and according to sales person no likelyhood of any further deliveries even although advertised in their latest flyer.

Lacie, great drives ,dodgy power supplys. Dabs refused to replace my power supply when it failed unless I sent the WHOLE unit back, which I thought was preposterous since it had all my valuable and , ehmmm ,personal data Had to resort to buying a power supply from lacie for 30 quid. Well pi$$ed I was.
