This is a very good deal and if you’d listed it as 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2-667 for £22.88 shipped I think it would have got a lot more heat.
You’d got to sell the deal you know! Otherwise, it won’t get the attention that it deserves.

I’d already placed two orders for 2x512MB as it saves money over 2x1GB.

Will this work on a standarb MB that takes normal DDR? Can't remember what my mobo takes, its running an athlon 3000 with DDR400 (from memory) if that helps....

Scrub that....

DDR2 DIMMs are not backwards compatible with DDR DIMMs. The notch on DDR2 DIMMs is in a different position than DDR DIMMs, and the pin density is slightly higher than DDR DIMMs. DDR2 is a 240-pin module, DDR is a 184-pin module.

Hi, I was going to but a 1GB kit (2x512MB) to install as matched pairs. Is there any difference in the matching of the kit (are they specifically tested together) compared to buying 2 single chips as in this thread?

There's no difference.
