A 3-way HDMI switch for only £30? Yep!
Thanks to Andrew (of SR-388.net) for the link on this one. It appears that in time for the Playstation 3 being released in Europe, Joytech are unleashing a true bargain for anyone who owns a TV with a limited number of HDMI connections - the "HDMI Tri Link Switcher". As you can probably guess from the "Tri Link" part, it accepts 3 HDMI inputs and has 1 output, which is a good number. On top of that, "Bi Link" would sound like a dating agency for people lucky enough to have uninhibited sex drives, and this product isn't nearly as interesting as that.
The device claims to work at up resolutions up to 1080p - which isn't surprising given the PS3's support for that resolution - and is by far the cheapest switch I've ever seen. By comparison, a similar HDMI switch from OCTAVA will set you back around £120. If Joytech's device works as claimed, then that means that the only benefits to existing devices will, by the looks of it, be metal casing (wowee).
Not only that, but the Joytech device comes with a remote control as well, which at this price, is pretty astonishing. It looks like they'll be making a lot of HDTV owners very happy indeed.
