Whats the delivery cost on overclockers like then? This RAM seems like amazing stuff for the price. It was double this price a few months back.

City Link Next Day is £5.25 +VAT, total £64.91.

Hot price. Geil must be dumping a load of memory onto the market at the moment as the prices for thier stuff on OC UK and Microdirect is very low compared to other brands.

DRAM prices keep plummeting. And so do memory prices as a consequence. It just highlights how overpriced memory used to be.

Totally agree with some the comments here! Few months ago these were couple of hundred quid and now they're down to £64 inc delivery.

Bought some last week - JUST last week and I paid £74. Should saturate soon.... maybe I can have 4gigs in my PC, not that I'm running a 64bit machine or makes a difference - worth the thought

I reckon DDRII is being sold off with the imminent release of DDR3.
The 1st ddr3 compatible motherbord is allready on the market (gigabyte I think)

The recent price crash in DDR2 is to do with an oversupply of DRAM chips across the market which in itself is a result of a shortage last year.

Tough game predicting supply obviously. I don't think there's ever been a better time to upgrade than now.

He does have a point though, Mark Proudfoot (the owner of OcUK who this guy is refering to) does have a reputation for homophobic and racist comments on his company's forums.

DDR3 has nothing to do with it; it's going to be a niche product until prices come down and the technology has matured.

I received my Dell yesterday (E520 deal) and it has 6700mhz ram (was meant to have 533mhz). Could anyone tell me if this ram will run at 667, or will it be restricted to 533 by the motherboard/bios.

I would like this ram but don't know whether it is compatible.

Any advice is appreciated, Ed

If I recall correctly, Dell supply 533mhz ram with those models even though the mobo can support 667mhz. I believe the Geil ram will work in you rig albeit at lower speeds.

Excellent price by the way.
I paid £88 only a month ago!
