Why is this cold please? 18-70mm lens included, better than the 18-55 with the Nikons.

Good reviews too ...

I'm sorely tempted at that price. I've reserved one just in case I can't resist myself

This is SOME piece of kit for £349. It is supposed to rival the D80 and even better it on certain features! I bought it today and I am chuffed to bits. The best sub-£550 DSLR on the market IMO, at the price of an entry level DSLR. Don't miss this if you can put up with the silver casing. I can, it's the results that I am interested in.

I got this camera when it first came out and it's a great camera and doubly so at this price. The silver camera used to be exclusive to jessops and tbh I think the silver one looks better than the black ones. The black ones looks more plasticky.

You can also use the minolta lens which opens up the range of extra lens you can buy.

It has had great reviews everywhere but has struggled a bit as sony not one of the big makes in dslr's and the price drop maybe because sony are supposedly bring out an updated/new model at some point.

I don't know much about these cameras, but just pointing out in this months PC Pro mag the Sony A100 came out Best value in the test (and thats at £460). It is currently their 'A' list DSLR camera.

Very good review, overall rating 5/6. Looks a great price, nice find.

Sample pics from the group test can be found here on PC Pro's web site:

Sony camera at bottom of list.

Any 2nd hand Minolta Autofocus lens will fit and work fine with this, if you are after a new lens I have just posted a deal for a Sony DT 18-200mm lens http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76448 which gives a great zoom range

Sony are still a bit limited at the moment on there range of lenses and most are quite expensive

Sigma and tokina also do a range of lens that will fit, look for minolta fitments. I picked up a sigma 28mm - 300mm from cameras2u.com for under £200.

A few places are doing the sony lens at cheaper prices too, worth looking about.
