Churchill Home Insurance Buildings and Contents

Churchill Insurance are advertising 35% off home insurance so I decided to challenge them.
What I got was a reduction of £178 on last years premium (with a different insurer).

Much better cover than I had - Building £250000 Contents £40000, accidental cover etc.

And £60 Quidco.

So all in all 12 months buildings/contents insurance for a total of £75

If yours isn't due yet it may be worth getting a quote now anyway as you can save them for up to 3 months.

This is only the second deal I've posted. Made a mess of the first one and got told off by someone! So hopefully I have done this right.

I had to put it on here, the deal was so good. I couldn't beleive how cheap it was. Much better than Tesco etc.

Wow!!! Where do you live that your house and contents insurance is only £75? Mine is nearly £300 - maybe I should give them a call - renewal is due next month.

Yep on-line through quidco - The £75 total does take into account the £60 quidco, which showed up after 1 day - Also I haven't claimed on my house insurance for quite a while, so that helps.

I have a no claims thing that is protected, when I move house I suspect this will transfer. Can I get a new polocy and they accept this no claims rubbish that has kept me tied in??

oh ...and my policy runs out with sainsburys at end of month and they automatically renew. Can I set this up straight to start beginning next month without any charge from sainsburys? ( I would have thought so as it s the end of a year but not sure)

Sarahmoo - Phone up your existing companty and tell them you don't want to continue with your policy and to cancel the direct debit. They should write and tell you the monthly DD cost anyway - Then do it thru Churchill on-line via quidco.

worth checking all the insurers on quidco as some offer more cashback so may be cheaper for some ppl.
