Almost all 'branded' credit cards are actually 'co-branded'

I currenlty use an egg money card for the 1% cashback each year so at 1.5% would I be better off spending on this instead?

Cheers,
worto.

well reading this from the T&C's

BT Credit Card Rewards are awarded as a discount on your applicable BT telephone bill (‘the BT Credit Card Discount') at the rate of 1p for each £2 (but not part of) spent on the relevant BT Credit Card up to £250 spent on Eligible Purchases per month or part of a month, and at the rate of 1p for each £1 (but not part of) spent on Eligible Purchases over £250 in any one month.

It seems to me that it works out at less than 1%

0.5% on the first £250 in a month and 1% after that.

Am I reading that correctly? If so stick with egg.

they are being naughty in their illustration that's £200 per month for a £3 per quarter discount so actually spending £600 for £3 off.

So really this is not the best cahsback credit card around so cold for me I am afraid.

slightly off topic regarding egg money card ... Don't you need to top up the account with a certian amount of money first before using it? ... If so, looking at it in a different way isn't the 1/1.5% just the interest for keeping that money in the C/C account with them. If so, I think most people would be better off leaving that money in a bank or building society right?

No, it's a standard credit card with cashback and interest on positive balance
