Hmmm, JVC aren't exactly known for their fantastic LCD/Plasma screens. That's a market mostly dominated by Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Philips, Pioneer and a few others. Currently scouting for a creditable review...

EDIT: Don't see it on their website...

Currys/Dixons often have the habit of securing "exclusive" screens though, where a minor design/spec/colour aspect is changed so they can change the model number and sell it as "exclusive"! Could be a case of that. I couldn't even match it up to the pics of the current models on JVC's website, but it could be an outdated pic on the Currys site...

Would rather have this for £464 del. It's more of a known quantity in my eyes.

On the Toshiba, Kelkoo says £457 inc from MultiZoneAv and £462 del from Pixmania. Don't have time to double check those shipping prices, though.

it seems to be most comparable to this one: the LT-32DA8BJ http://www.jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=...=&catid=100088 which is more like the the silver product code below.

In store, it is available in Silver (http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...ory_oid=-30633) or Black (and also in 42" @ £799 - http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...ory_oid=-30633)

Not a bad review here: http://www.avreview.co.uk/news/artic.../UAN/1166/v/3/

Looks about right, Currys changing a few digits about...

The Toshiba fairs very badly in the review taking last place with the JVC second last! I've seen much more favorable reviews of the Toshiba elsewhere, though.

haven't come across avreview.co.uk before. Will have a look around, thanks for the link

to be fair, the JVC came 6th out of 8 in the review, but the tv is still only £470 when some of the other tv's are still over £100 more, so not a bad review all things considered.

6th out of 7, Tosh was 7th and last. It is just one review, though, and it's not even the exact model number. Struggling to find other reviews!

For what it's worth, I have had a JVC 32DX7 for about 1 year.
Picture is good even with sport . The sound is the best of all
the lcd TVs I tried.
I am still very pleased with it.

Paul.

Always the one to have the last word - the Sharp was bottom and then the Toshiba. Then the JVC.

My apologies, then. Must have missed the Sharp in the conclusions.
