where did my thread go?

i posted a thread earlier explaining the problems i was having with a pay as you go phone i bought from orange.
i felt it was an informative post explaining what had happened myself and what i was informed was now the norm regarding the purchase of mobile phones from orange.
several people replied to the thread and said they found it useful and said they experienced similar problems and now understood why.
unfortuantly a lot of other posters didnt take the time nor inclanation to try to understand what i was saying and basically asked for the post to be removed with no reasoning as to why.
i posted the thread in the deals forum under the "tip" heading as i couldnt see where else to put it.
i come home a few hours later to see my post has been removed and no explanation given to me as why.
i put a fair amount of my time into writing the post out and everything written in it was factual and exactly as was pointed out to me from a manager at orange customer service.
i would like to now why my thread was removed.

Sorry I didn't PM you earlier steviep23 [as above ^ busy, forgot].

I don't know if you are aware of the merchant you posted it under, but the website it pointed to isn't the real Orange Shop. I think that's one reason why it received some negative feedback too.

We'll move the thread shortly, with the incorrect merchant's link removed.

Edi is right. The mods are in constant communication with one another these days with a log of what we've all said too, so if you do need to know why your thread was removed in most cases you can ask any mod and they can tell you, even if it wasn't them who removed it.

Because we're all nice and helpful and organised like that...
