Matalan have a sale of 75% off and THEN when you got to the till a further 50% off that again, my daughter has just paid a visit to her local store and come away with some bargains.

Some examples, clothing for a 3 year old girl and and kitchen stuff tea, coffee and sugar containers and some baking trays, not sure if the extra 50% is advertised in store but my daughter was very pleased thats for sure.

OK just came back from my local store (Aber) and they did not give me another 50% off, they said they didn't know any store that was doing this, but that some items may have been reduced further and the store prices may have been wrong. There were a few £2 items in the mens section and a few 75% off. Worth a look, but nothing special.

I've just come back from Matalan in Altrincham and there was no extra 50% off at the till. When I asked the staff, they said this is false information!

Voted cold and wasted petrol!

I went to Matalan in Tunstall yesterday and got some sandals which had £14 on them and a half price sticker took them to the till and they were then reduced a futher 50% so £3.50, so the extra 50% off must be item specific. I was well impressed because I will probably never wear them but at least i've only wasted £3.50 not £14

i think it was nice of you to post this, my local had huge reductions last week most of the sale stock was half price kids disney swimsuits and bikinis were reduced from £7-£3.50 and alot of kids sandals and trainers were half price , i was spent out before i had chance to look at adult clothes!!
it is not a wasted journey as there are still some good discounts

I went to the one in new malden/kingston today and bought some jeans, they should have been £8 after 50% off but when i got to the till they came up at £1 !!!!! Bargain or what

I got a 100% cotton (wrinkle-free) formal shirt with matching tie in a box for £1 reduced from £16!! Superb quality it is, too.
