further to recent deals i reckon it just got better!

got one myself today. instore only

the guy said i had saved £167

includes the £5 off any ps3 game/bluray move + 5 free game rentals @ £4.95 a time

i got the darkness and motorstorm + casino royale and hitch. there are others to choose from ( the lists they give are not cut and dry )

all the accessories are official sony products

i will have to go in tomorrow as they forgot to give me my vouchers and i also will have 6 more games to exchange for credit ( dont you just love it).

i will also be giving them back resitance: fall of man, it is rubbish.

Not Bad Considering You Get A 3 Metre Sony Hdmi Cable And An Extra Wireless Sixaxis Controller Thrown In.

Also You Just Have To Go To The Shop And Not Wait For Delivery Or Even Pay For Delivery

Prices will drop again as sonys saviour -gta4 is put back till 2008 and they gunna need to shift loads mroe units

Just had a lok on gamestations website & the deal is there with the ps3, two games (from a choice of Genji, Motorstorm, ROM & F1) + additional controller but i was wrong about the film

Used ones tend to go for about £329 in GAME and Gamestation, don't think you get much bundled with it for that price though so value-wise, best buying the new bundle deal.

I would not bet on that being the case:

After denying the PS3 Starter Pack is a limited offer in Europe, new evidence from Sony UK has shown that the GBP 425 deal is likely to end at the end of the summer, GamesIndustry.biz is reporting.

Yesterday it emerged that Sony Australia would only be offering the deal - which includes the console, extra Sixaxis controller and choice of two first-party games - until the end of the month. Sony told GamesIndustry.biz that the offer is ongoing in the European regions.

But crimbo is an opportunity that console manufacturers cannot afford to pass up, so expect a price war between Sony & MS. IMHO Sony needs to sell more consoles & Microsoft will want to stop them grabbing more market share.

But Sony are trying to keep the console price up & add more to the deal, hence they can claim that they have not cut the price yet (officially).
