Apologies if it does... I assumed that because it worked out costing £0.00 in the end, then this was the place. If a mod could move it, that would be great! :D
I've been with Virgin pay as you go for years and years. Never been on a mobile phone contract, ever. But this might just entice me to try it. Sounds good because it is only six months and there doesn't seem to be too much faffing about sending in all sorts of bills.
Once the six months is finished is it ok to say thanks and goodbye and go back to pay as you go? And do you think I'll be able to take my number with me, there and back?

VirginMobile are more flexible than the other networks.
You can easily ask them to get rid of the new number on this contract and to move the PAYG number to the contract, call them and ask before ordering if unsure.
I was able to move a VM PAYG to VM Cable deal contract this way twice without problems.
HarryB:
if someone can state otherwise please do, but to my knowledge number porting is not offered between network's pay as you go and contract services
eh? you can PAC over between networks PAYG or contract it doesn;t matter no problem, O2 and Voda have some strict rules, but otherwise still perfectly possible.
Actually it tracks as a contract sale with £60 cashback on Quidco. There's also a £5 bill credit direct from Virgin so in effect they are paying you £65 for the contract.

Good if they honour it at £60 but Quidco says for CPW
5% for accessory, ringtone or other sale, including SIM only contracts
