I wondered who voted this deal cold? Please state where you can get a device like this for less? Even the 160Gb HDD recorders (without DVD) are usually more than this. If you can advise me where I will gladly stand corrected.

I have one of these, I bought it back in January from Ebuyer for £180.67 including p&p, I was going to buy mine from SVP but they were out of stock at the time. Has some comprehensive reviews on Ebuyer too.

Great machine, easy to use menu, the picture could be slightly sharper thats its only weakness. Gives a lot of freedom being able to record to hard drive or to dvd as you wish.

But I would definitely buy this again, it has done everything I wanted it to do and at this price its a steal!

But this has no Freeview - so will be a hastle to use in 5 years time when analogue TV is turned off (and the internal tuner is redundant - which makes the recording scheduling useless)

...but who am I kidding - modern day electronics lasting more than 5 yeaars - pffffftttt

Price seems to have dropped to £82.60 inc Delivery and VAT....

However, only single ANALOGUE tuner, so is a good price - but no good for me unfortunately.

You are right. It would be great for those with Sky or cable (or those without aerial)

Ahhh of course - I never even contemplated the effect of having an analogue tuner may have. Funny how quick we forget how much technology has moved on over the past year or two. It would be a lot more limiting than I realised. Lol.

This seems ok for me. I aint got a TV aerial, just got a technomate sattelite system along with a DBOX..this should do me ok I reckon!

Hi can I ask a really dumb question here. All I want to do is copy programmes over from my Sky+ boxes HDD to the HDD in this DVD recorder as I keep running out of space in my Sky+ box. Would this unit be able to do this for me, if so then this is about the same sort of cost as just upgrading the HDD in the Sky+ box anyway? Price now comes up as £74.38 inc VAT by the way.

Hi - ive not looked into the Sky boxes but a lot of these HDD recorders store the recorded programs in a special format purposely to stop you transferring the recordings. This one may not but I think the Sky one does. Maybe someone else can confirm?
