Sainsburys Taste The Difference German Beers (4 bottles) - half price - £1.99

£1.99

44°

FOUND BY: spladam 2 years, 2 months ago

Sainsburys German TTD beers are half price at the moment - £1.99 for 4 330ml bottles of either Bavarian Wheat Beer, Cologne Style Larger or Munich Style Oktoberfest Beer.

Normally these sell for £3.99, so a great opportunity to try these beers without the expense.

Don't go buy these expecting them to taste like Carling! :)

Note: The picture shows the larger 660ml bottle, not the 330ml bottle as in this deal.

And Dolmio is made in Holland...

There are plenty of products produced in different countries as to where they branded as 'authentic' from.

I think that is true. I bought some French bread in Sainsburys today and it was still warm!!!

If it really did come from France I think it would have been cold

Voted hot.

Actually brewed by the Meantime Brewery in Greenwich, though the Brewery's founder, Alistair Hook, was also involved in the establishment of the Freedom Brewery.

I personally really dislike it when products give the impression of being the authentic produce of one country when in fact they are made in another country. However, I do no think this is the case here. All the beers are all explicitly labeled Cologne / Bavarian / Munich Style Beers and the packaging gives a very clear explanation that the beers are brewed at the Meantime Brewery in the UK in accordance with German beer purity rules.

Although it is not available online, I noticed that there is also a fifth variety available which is Raspberry Wheat Beer.

The Raspberry wheat beer is occasionally available online. I bought some last month for my husband who loves it.

Isn't any lager better than Carling?
