Capital One 4% Cashback on Mastercard - First 3 Months

81°

FOUND BY: philmywallet 7 months, 2 weeks ago

This is my first post so please go easy on me.....

Capital One have got a 4% Cashback offer on their credit card.

If a direct debit is setup to pay the balance in full each month it is possible to use the card as a current account.

It is also possible to get an additional card for other members of the family to use and, if used wisely, it is possible to receive £££££'s in cashback.

Basically this is money for nothing!!

This is not a post to promote credit, however if used wisely this can be very lucrative !!

Good Luck

tesco credit card has a good clubcard (cashback) rate too. even more if you use it in tesco stores.

be careful you are not caught out with heavy charges if you are late paying your balance.

Voted cold. Avoid this terrible company!

I've had nothing but charge after charge from these people. Even if i send a payment early/ontime i still get a late payment charge of £12! each month, so often so they are also hitting me with over limit charges at the same time, when its their late payment charges taking me over the limit.

My limit is £200, i've hardly used my card at all and on my latest bill it's saying i owe over £200 in added charges.

I filed to have the charges returned (when we did it with the bank at the same time) all they did was credit the charges back onto the account, and since have taken most of it back in new charges.

When i lasted questioned all of these charges the lady at the other end said that they don't want their customers to be within their card limit, and that if you get close to your card limit with high payments they lower your payments to keep you above the limit, then give you a charge for not paying enough. I also have a letter from them stating the same thing, i just can't find it to type it word for word.

Just avoid this dirty theiving company!

What's in your wallet? not much thanks to these...

Picked this up last time it was mentioned on this forum.

4% cashback for 3 months, 1% thereafter.

Read on MSE that if you gook a holiday using it then you get free annual travel insurance too.

Just made my first payment, no problems, no fees charged.

Cashback is paid in January each year.

I am sure this payment will be refunded if your payments were definitely not late!

I really do suggest monthly DD !!!!

I have had no trouble in anyway. In fact their customer services (call centre) is excellent !!!!

All my payments go to them via DD! I've never made a late payment at all, but get the £12 charge every month and then the over limit charge too.

I've had this problem for the past few years and stopped using my card over 2 years ago, and am still paying them back, even though my limit is £200 and i only used the card once or twice for a weekly shop at sainsburys!

This is actually a very good deal, if you plan some large purchases in the next 3 months. As the posters say, buy a car for £3000 and get £120 back. Get a holiday for £2000 and get £80 back. Not bad for free

Doubt they'll give you a limit that high from the start!

Without wanting to be controversial, if its their charges-whether interest or ppi or late payment fee's that take you over the limit, they do give you something like 18 days to pay the overlimit amount before hitting you with an overlimit fee.
But as has already been said, if you have a dd setup for the minimum amount then you should not be getting late payment fees, so keep pursuing it with them.

My partner and i have this card and they gave us a limit of £7000 to start-no balance transfers involved. We do have impeccable credit rating tho, never missed payments, always clear full balance by due date.
If you are wanting to go with this card, make sure that you do clear it in full so as not to incurr interest!!
