what was the thread?
#2
Have you tried to contact him, did you have his details?

When was he last online here, havent seen him post for a while.
#3
I will try to look up the thread, it was a wanted thread.
#4
sorry to here that, hope it all works out for you, perhaps if it turns out he has scammed you, you could post his address up and maybe another member will go round and have a word. (works on another forum i'm on!)

shame it happens, but i guess there is always going to be a element of people out to rip others off.
#5
Have you PM'd him? Its unlike fanpages..

Check when the last time he was on.
#6
I have PM'd him, he says 'it has been sent'!

It's a littler bit sad for £16, but some people truly are that low.

I'm sure I'll have food and water, it's ok!

Just warning the people out there.
#7
I don't have his address, just his paypal.

Did he get proof of postage?

This is the thread in question

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/130461/wanted-ps3-games-sixaxis-and-psp-ga/showthread.php?t=130461&page=4

as you can see buyer asked for 2nd class which makes it more out of the buyers hands and more risky. No offence but i dont think fanpages would do that for 16pounds
#11
He says yes, I will scan it up, hasn't happened..... for like a week and a half.

I get UK delivered to Ireland in 2-3 working days so I'm sure I've waited long enough.

fanpages has replied to your pm's

seconding.
#14
what is scan it up?

Why would some one who has scammed you try to help? dont make sense.

dont think fanpages would intentionally scam you as he has a good reputation on this and other trading forums
#16
I think there is a bit more to this than meets the eye if you read the thread....looks like fanpages has gone out of his way to help you as I read it
#17
ok can someone tell me if someone sent something 2nd class could they find out if it was delivered?
1 Like #18
I dont know fanpages but from seeing what he posts I dont think he would scam.
#19
I just said 'I don't mind how you post it once it get's to me', 2 weeks is just far too long to be waiting.

He says it is my liability if it arrives damaged, not if it doesn't arrive at all!
#20
Things DO get lost in the post. It has happened to me before.

This could well be the case. Maybe Fanpages could file a claim on Royal Mail.
#21
Personally, I've never got anything lost in the post, even with a stamp, it's just not common at all.

no,no proof of delivery for standard mail, has to be recorded...fanpages did express his concern in the thread about not sending recorded..looks like his concerns were warranted

I think you should edit the title, this is a dispute not a scam

so what we are sayin here is that fanpages with a good reputation and feedback is being accused of being a scammer by someone with no feedback.

Also give the maner of fanpages posts I would think he would comply with rules ie address and no.

trust me royal mail do lose things
#24
I'm sure fanpages will post on here as soon as he is online.

I'm sure it is not in his nature to scam.
#25
title changed, accordingly.

i would not lie about not receiving something!

I have bought a few things from here before, all went 100% fine!

LOL, sorry but that made me laugh. If a package is DVD shaped and has a stamp on it, you can guarantee that someone somewhere will swipe it. If its not recorded or special delivery then I don't send it, simple. Why? Because of times like these when you need to prove it has been sent or who signed for it. Like me Fanpages usually sends via signed for delivery so I am surprised that he didn't this time. I am sure he will from now on.

I am not implying anything here cul8er, but no-one has any proof that you didn't receive it. Again something that could be avoided by using recorded delivery. For 60p more than first or second class postage, its well worth it IMHO.

so what your saying is, it is just ok for somebody with a 'good' reputation to take money from people with 0 feedback?

I do have feedback elsewhere.

I am pretty sure there is no intention to take money,I think you need to calm down and wait for fanpages to come online so it can be sorted out without all the mud slinging
#32
well personally here, the difference in standard and recorder is not 60p, it is more around £4, yes I know, alot, I don't live in the UK so couldn't know.

I will look for the links of buying stuff, one was a K800i phone and the other was an N73 and a bluetooth headset , and maybe someother stuff can't remember now.
#33
He hasn't taken any money. He sent it (so he says), it got lost (so we assume). he is waiting to be compensated and I am sure that when he is then he will give you your money back.

If it was me, and for the sake of £16, I would refund it now, and then claim it back, but that is Fanpages perogative, and after slating him off here It would not surprise me if he made you wait until he had the money back from the Post Office which could be weeks from now.

I'm calm!

It's 16 quid for gods sake, just the amount of posts flying in I can't keep up.

Let fanpages reply and we'll get this sorted, also the feedback on my paypal is over 100.
#35
no the differeence is the 60p maybe a pound max. Dont use the i live in ireland line its the same!
#36

Regardless of the amount it costs, its still your choice. If you decide not to use recorded delivery then you are open to issues surrounding lost post. Getting a refund on a certificate of posting takes far longer then a recorded item. You pays your money and takes your choice.
#37
Someone get in touch with fanpages and tell him to come on things could get interesting.

Do you live in Northern Ireland or Eire?
#39
Eire. Not the north, check Anpost.ie for postal rates ;)
#40
Again, you had the choice on postage methods, you chose the cheapest. Cant see what the problem is. It was always a possibility that it would get lost or stolen in the post, and with no way to tell as it is not trackable all you can do is to ask for a refund. If that means waiting for Fanpages to get a refund from the postal service then thats something you will have to wait for.

To come on here and slate the guy off with no proof whatsoever is IMHO totally out of order.

May I suggest that you stop posting and deal with this directly with Fanpages when he comes back online, and hope that your accusations have not annoyed him enough that he does make you wait for your refund.

Learn a lesson from this, and that is if you cannot afford, or will not pay for the additional postage fees for recorded delivery, do not buy the item, unless you want to chance yourself being in a similar situation again.
