If you was unfortunate to miss out on the Asda and Amazon Wii U price wars, there is some good news for you thanks to Shopto.net. Shopto.net are still selling the basic Wii U 8GB model for £179.86 but for the same price you also can get the Tekken Tag Tournament bundle, while this might not appeal to everyone the game is fairly good fun for fighting fans. However if you wanted to get something a little bit different, Shopto.net are also doing a Super Mario Bros U bundle for £189.85 which for £10 more offers a great saving on the game and console bundle. I appreciate this wont be to everyones taste as it seems the Wii U has gathered a some what marmite following. I have been a Wii U owner for the past 6 months (nearly) and also own both a PS3 and XBOX 360, however I use the Wii U more, because I feel the console offers me something that the other consoles can't, the games on the eShop alone are all worthy additions but at affordable prices. Key titles on the eShop are Nano Assault Neo, Trine 2 directors cut, Little Inferno, F-Zero, Super Mario World and The Cave. On top of that you have some free games such as Tank Tank Tank and the Rayman Legends Challenges App. These wont appeal to everyone but there is enough variety with the eShop and retail games to find some great titles. My Dad and his family really enjoy Nintendoland and Panorama Viewer and my sister's family enjoy Sonic Racing, Nintendoland, Injustice and Mighty Switch Force HD. 5 Comments
Free SkyTV and Broadband for a year for O2 Customers
Sky are offering free TV and Broadband for a year for O2 Broadband customers in advance of the switchover of their service to Sky. It's the Entertainment Extra+ service with 48 HD channels etc, plus their Broadband unlimited package. You have to pay for Sky line rental instead of O2 line rental, which may work out worse for some, but it does include free caller display which O2 doesn't. It has a worse off-peak period. They claim the package you get for free is worth £468. The offer runs to the end of June - they are sending out mailers with offer codes, but you may be able to call them up with knowledge of the offer in advance of this. It doesn't seem to matter how much of your existing contract remains - I renewed recently to take advantage of another offer they were making, and was still offered this one. 38 Comments
