1. Nylon is a cheap material that cheap manufactures use in products and are no good for electrical contacts as it is an insulator. Zinc is a relatively cheap metal, but a $2800 per ton it is substantially more expensive than a lot of other things...

But zinc is used to galvanise steel which makes it resistant to corrosion so maybe your zinc planter will last forever?

Thanks for that as i really am looking for a some planters for the summer and the cheaper ones seem to be zinc :thumbsup:

1. Why would you even think about using zinc in a circuit??
2. You CAN pull faces whilst relishing your O/H's lovingly prepared food - ones of unsurpassed delight only.
