How did you manage to get a dispute on ebay when you settled outside of it?

He must have disputed on paypal only, which is pretty much the same process.

Bought a lyle and scott jumper from ebay just before xmas, took some time so i emailed the seller, zilch! Next thing the seller is no longer a registered seller, eh!? Anyway opened up a dispute and then it turned up only to be a snide :( So i opened a dispute claiming that the seller was selling fakes, paypal then informed me that i needed evidence to show that it was a fake garment (this was now around the 12th of jan, bought it on the 13th of dec!).

I managed to get 2 shops to sign a letter stating that the garment was a fake, now i had gone over their bs 10day cut off point so after sending the letters i received an email thanking me for the evidence and that it had now gone to the relevant department, nice i thought refund time!

Anyway to cut a long story short they emailed me and because i had gone over the 10day point and even though this ****** was selling counterfeit goods and had also been taken off ebay they were going to let the scumbag go scott free! Even though they had evidence they were not bothered!

In total i think it was just under 3months to tell me this yet they give me a bloody measley 10 days to go out of my way to show they allow these criminals to run amok selling **** items. Whats even more maddening is that they keep sending me emails like the one i got 2night:

You have good reason too hehe. Paypal are pretty awful, often its the one in the right who gets punished the most. I had someone use a stolen credit card buy something off me. Paypal reversed charges after like a month (my balance went into the minus) then they threatened me to pay them the money I owed otherwise they would send the debt collectors lol.

I never got my product back obviously or any email telling me what was going on, just one letting me know I had 10 days to put money into my account etc. I hardly use eBay now for selling stuff because of this, everyone wants to pay with Paypal now, so if I don't offer it as an option I get retarded emails moaning. Kind of funny but its too much hassle, I am stressed enough without having to deal with disputes over £5 items here and there lol.

Proving something is fake it alot of hassle. I once tried to get my money back from Mastercard and it failed. Did all the proof they asked me to get and still got nothing in return. They said something about how they have no way of knowing the item I got people to authenticate is the same one that I received from the seller. I don't even know why they asked me to get proof in the first place if they are just going to say that in the end. What a waste of time!
