Recently installed any new Anti-Virus or browser protection software?

Check in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings

Check to see if you have a proxy server selected, if so deselect it and try MSN again.

Did you check the Proxy settings anyway?

Also try disabling NOD32 and Windows Firewall then try, if it works at least your narrowing it down :)

YOu shouldnt have to as it MSN messenger is notoriously hard to block as it changes ports and can use port 80 too.

Very strange let me do some searching.

What version of Windows are you using?

Probably an entry in the hosts file. Delete those and it should be ok.

You need a promotion Imran, bravo :p Don't worry about it mate, I'm sure your chatting away on MSN right now. Sometimes MSN is down and then magically works after a short break.
