How many did you buy? Was it 1 or 2 shares, I'm not up to date as to how much pocket money kids get nowadays:thumbsup:

lloyds and hbos have sealed the deal. Early in the morning, the price of hbos was about £1something a share. Now its £2.32 (as bbc news rated it - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7622180.stm).
Pretty good if you ask me...
How many shares are there? Im guessing thousands and thousands

How many did you buy and at what price? And at what price did you sell them???

if i were a big bank with visionary people and a good reserve of money, i'd have seen this coming a few years ago and stored up loads to buy the largest financial arms when their shares rocketed all the way down, so that in about 5-10 years time i would recover and my plans for world domination would be complete.

the governments and corporates know the drill. they know and predict ups and downs in the economy across x years, kinda like civilisation and mortality rates ... what goes up can only come down and then stabilise.

really loathe it when people who are in the know (eg those who work in the market) pretend they didnt see it coming!

Again I must say it was as serious question:?, I fail to see why you are getting agitated by what I said

OP says: "anyone bought any ? how would i go about doing so. any safe websites etc"

it's the 'trollies' (yup coined that new one) that turn the thread on its head ... :whistling:

i made over 100% profit in just a few hours on these, cleared just over £5,000 for a few hours work :), im waiting for some more of these banks to do similar also, if you buy right there is alot of money to be made on the downturn, just keep watching shares through the day, i use adfvn level 2.
#36
woho another £4000 today on bank shares, most went up between 50% and 75% today so much better than working this, just sat at my pc drinking coffee all day :) ok back to monitoring.

my goal is £60,000 in my share account by end of year, im now at £56,000 :)

i bought £7000 of BB shares today 36,781 at 18.75p at 4pm, bought them out of the £9000 i made the other week on the HBOS fiasco in just 1 day, BB closed 30 minutes later at 20p, £300+ up in a hour, im hopeing for good news in usa over weekend, hope they agree the 700 billion rescue package they should do, just got to hope a bank snaps up BB i dont want it to go like northern rock really, so im on tender hooks until monday morning opening, hopeing to make a couple of 1000 just in the morning, but i could loose it all, still not to worry thou as its money i made on HBOS anyway, good times.
#39
i think i might go daytrading as a career :D
I don't know much about the situation, but I think the whole world is looking at america atm with their ultra bail-out plan. Apperantly if no life-saving decision is made by then, monday will "unfold chaos".
#40
at the moment it really is daytrading for me, i dont take my eye of my screens hardly, money to be made but also very easy to loose at the moment, its very exciting and nervy at the same time, but beats working in a factory or leaving the house ;)

NOTE: if goverment decides to nationlise BB monday or suspend i could loose all £7000 in a few hours.
