It lets IT professionals and education people (i.e. students) download Microsoft products for free. So they don't switch to linux... ;-)

MSDN accounts let you download loads of different microsoft products so you can develop with them...

I need a vista ultimate 64bit licence key sharpish n thought i could get one off MSDN

Cool.

Only have the 32bit Ultimate version. So the D stands for developers?

There was a programme I downloaded that let you use your current licence and "change" it for another. You had to take down a series of numbers, if I remember correctly, then make a phone call, and you typed them in to an automated microsoft service, via the phone...worked a treat!

You can get things like Map-point, Virtual PC, etc, on there too. Windows XP as well as Vista. Visual Basic. (.NET). SQL Server. Office. Server 2003.

Apparantly you can download Windows 3.1 from it too, for old time's sake.

I've taken a look. I could do with a new phone, but I'm wondering what to do about it. I've had a few new ones in the last year, but always end up reverting back to my K750i. It's having a few SIM card and joystick issues now, though, so I could do with replacing it. Not sure if I want to get stuck into another contract right now, so I've been looking at other Sony Ericssons (K850i, C902, C905) but am a bit spoilt for choice. I'm a bit scared because I found myself looking at Nokia's Xpress Music phones; they look quite nice... but they're made by Nokia...

Imran, hunt for the thing I'm talking about. I had the same thing happen to me. Can't remember what I'd done, was farting about with something...
You type a 16 digit code in to the phone, and it gives you a new serial, waalahh! :-D

I've installed Windows Ultimate with an activation code from the MSDN site and it works fine. Using it as we speak/

i'm on an 18month o2 contract

Don't really fancy a contract, that's the thing. I'm going to play the waiting game... it's a fun time for mobiles right now.

I can't justify spending £450 on a phone at the moment. I'm hoping that I could persuade someone to buy me one for my Birthday... :-D

I kinda love my K750i though, it's always been there for me... :santa:
