And the router you have does not have wireless yeah ? as the wii has built in wireless.

Buy a new modem/router and use the built in wireless in Wii look at pages below to help install the adpter you have bought not sure if you bought the official lan adpater or the datel one but look at pages below.

If you have just got a dsl modem and it is not a router it gets complicated, better easier to buy a new modem/router

The Wii is wireless, get a wireless router / access point.

I have the opera browser installed on mine and its extremely slow, youtube takes ages to download the videos...

The only good thing about the Wii and internet is playing games with other people esp' Mario Kart....

i don't think it's wireless, not too keen on buying a new router, how much is that gonna cost?

Honestly, I so wish I'd bought an XBOX 360::roll:

post what you have at minute as in model number

I bought a Usb wifi lan adapter, which seemingly connects units such as wii, psp and laptops to a desktop that has a cable connection to the net, but while i have managed to connect the wii to my pc, I get an error message on the wii when I test the connection, the unit only cost about £7 from Hong Kong from ebay, It works with the psp, so it appears to be a problem related to the setup for a wii wifi.

My voyager number is 220V, I have clicked on one of the links you gave and it seems I unplug the ethernet cable from my computer and plug it into the LAN adapter, is that right?

I notice you edited after I posted the other

yes but you really need to buy new gear as the 220 by what i googled only has 1 Ethernet port and you will have to keep swapping cable to go back n forth from wii to pc internet , get a new model router from bt if you can failing that get a belkin 7633 modem dlink 624m or a zyxel 660 hw these should be pretty cheap and you will need someone to enter your bt login details to them and you will be able to use 360 the ps3 wirelessly the wii wirelessly your laptop if owned pc etc all at same time if you wanted

thanx, yes, that's the problem i have now, i was hoping the kids could play on the wii online, while I was on the PC, it's ok for now, at least i can see what it's all about, but i will definately look into getting a new router, i got this one"free" when i first had broadband connected, it's served it's purpose ok but time to move on:p

Thanks for your help:)
