:w00t:£35 per head?! You may get a cheapskate for that!!!

I would suggest you go to an area you want to eat and find a restaurant, rather than picking out a restaurant specifically (especially given that your price figure is not exactly going to get you into a world class restaurant in Paris). Location and ambience is more interesting than the food in my opinion (for Paris).

Best restaurant in Paris with views of the Eiffel Tower is Les Ombres at Musee du Quai Branly. Telephone 0147536800. Good luck getting a reservation ANYWHERE for Valentines !!

Hi, sorry, I was only joking about you being a cheapskate! Skate, fish etc? **** I know, sorry! How lovely to be going there. Have a fantastic time!

what price are we looking at here?

I'm changing up to Euros tomorrow so dont want to run out of cash esp cause we'll be going to a bar in the night and i only pay for things in cash

Depends, Le Jules Verne is a famous restaurant, circa 200 euros a meal though at a guess, unique of course though. Altitude 95 is on the Eiffel Tower too, but no idea about prices there but it will be lower.

Avenue des Champs-Élysées has a few nice Restaurants, but mainly average. As I say, you should head to the area you want to eat and look around, it's a much better way.

Try Toptable, they are doing deals and I use them a lot when eating out as it's all real reviews

oh gawd.. if i can stomach those jokes the frogs legs will be a doddle!

Have you tried frogs legs before?
I have once and I know a lot of peeps say this about a lot of food, but for me, it did taste like chicken.
Somehow, I just couldn't bring myself to try snails.

Last time i took a laydee to Paris, i booked "Le Grande Vefour" on Rue de Beaujolais - 2 Michelin star - AMAZING food and ambience . . . . £200 inc DECENT wine for the two of us - the evening was nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!

I really miss her

Snails are lovely, especially cooked in garlic butter. My aunty does them in a stew with a tomato based sauce - that's ok, but the garlic ones are just gorgeous.
Not much meat on frogs legs. :?

We were in Paris in Jan, and most restaurants (cafes included) charge 15-20 euros each for a bog standard meal, frankly a rip off, but part of the fun.

We didn't investigate frog's legs, gf wasn't so keen. But there are plenty of fancy places, with one of the cheaper ones costing around 75 euro per head.

Good luck. If you haven't already booked a hotel, I would recommend the Best Western H'Orset D'Opera, lovely hotel, great staff, and amazing location. Just pray the protestors stay at home though, as the main street seems to be their marching ground.
