you might need to contact the provider to get the MMS and internet settings sent to the phone x

What network is it on?

You can sometimes request them online.

Call them if not, they'll send them straight away.

Otherwise wait patiently :p

For MMS configuration:
Go into Messages/Settings/Multimedia Messages/ Profiles and then select the correct profile for the network you are using.

For Internet Configuration:
Go into Browser/Settings/Browser Profiles and then select the correct profile for the network you are using.

She has had it for two weeks?

Its on O2 :p

Okay, you usually get 'em within the first hour.
Give em a call :)
From your O2 mobile 4445 25p per call
From a landline 08705678678 National rate

I tried that!

The options are;

O2 Wap post pay
O2 MMS port pay
O2 Mobile Web

Whats that all about??

For MMS there should be one for PrePay MMS. This is the one you want to select for PAYG.
For Internet I think its O2 WAP.

You can also try Applications and scroll to the bottom and there should be an icon with O2 on it, select this and there should only be one option to "Get Settings".

this should trigger O2 to send you a text config message that will automatically install the settings for you.

:)

Just need to enter the phone number

With my phone, I had to send an MMS myself to be able to receive them. It must vary by phone/network.

The best option though is to contact the network like you are doing. :)

Did you get this sorted?

I have been on phone for last 45 minutes trying to sort out same problem (Samsung G600) with no success. Woman in call centre has tried everything and nothing has worked, said take it to O2 shop and ask them to flash it because the software needs upgrading
#17
Shes done everything (which I had actually already tried from various websites!) but she said the software just needs updating and it should be easy enough to sort

I called 4445 from my mobile at cost of 25p, and then they called back on my landline so that I could use my mobile while she instructed me.Would be annoyed if it cost me £5 to get nothing sorted!!!

Did she get you to try entering the settings manually?

If that didn't work then its probably is to do with the software thats on the phone from whatever network it was originally locked too,

You can download new samsung software and connect it to your pc via usb and put the new software on

Yup, tried sending the settings a few times and it didnt work so she said lets try the hard way and did it all manually and it still didnt work. It was bought from the O2 shop so is (and always has been) locked to O2 - she asked that a few times

We have an O2 shop close by so I will take it over and get them to look at it, she said there wouldnt be any charge

Thats entirely different then if its always been on o2,the software should be ok as it is,o2 shop should have no problem entering the settings
