MS media center remote.
A Shoe
I don't actually use it for a 'media centre' but I do use it for my laptop tethered to the TV - the Keysonic wireless USB keyboard with the touch pad like a laptop. I've also tried it with the Wii too.

I find it a really neat device - it's quite compact so would sit nice down beside the sofa, it's lightweight, easy to use, cheap and the batteries seem to last for ages.

Can't comment on the remote controls as I haven't used them, a couple of colleagues purchased the keysonic on my recommendation and they love it - about 25 quid or so when I looked last.
is that the best do you recon or are there more versatile/better products out there?

Well it does the job and all the functions work. Doesn't look that flashy though.
yeah that would be my kb of choice. you said it works with the wii? really?

Yeah, just put the USB receiver in the back of the wii then anything requiring text input (like web addresses or search paramaters) can be done with the keyboard.
another vote for the keysonic have one meself small does the job and batts last for ever, though actually don't use it too often as it is mainly a htpc and tend to use the remote but occasionally a keyb is req'd
think the model is the 540rf or the bluetooth model is the 540bt ;)
