Whilst this post isn't one of my Windows 7 grumbles, it prompted me to look for a solution to one that is - The damn Windows Snap feature. Can't believe theres a Windows 7 advert with some guy claiming it was 'His idea' (Oh I'd like to slap him silly).

Windows Aero Snap - Now disabled

I've disabled it - I'm forever opening mulitple windows or apps and when one snaps open and fills the screen, it's a hassle to re-arrange to get back to see all you windows.

Yeah I customised my start bar.

Wow... So many HDDs.. How can you need that many?
@bykergrove & dcx

Would I be wrong in guessing the word "torrents" are quite important in your life?
or possibly usenet
are you retarded or did your dad make the internets? those are the only two explanations for the majority of your posts.

oh and on my pc it sends my pc to sleep. you have to hold for a second to shut it off.

You should try holding it for 4 seconds.

&bykergrove & dcx

I see, so its all for your linux distributions?
i make my own porn and sell it on geofffrombykergroveexposed.com

you admirin brah?

Just wondering why you are so organised and have so much HD space is all :)
mirror means you actually lose half your space (both drives have identical data on it). and my stripe is for my operating system so is mostly empty. the 1TB is a general back up of everything i have (including recovery images for each of my 3 pcs) one of the 500gb externals is not used currently and the last one is for my wii.

how about you? how much space do you have?

im a lightweight 2x500gb + external 500gb, 120gb passport drive, 32gb usb stick

I dont do recovery images, stuff needs updating too much, but keep iso's of OS disks and drivers organised for each of 4 machines, along with photos of stuff for insurance purposes. even down to the windows license labels and dell service tags. I am also entirely paperless, and use print to pdf (cutepdf printer) for everything, and have pdf's of all bills, information, receipts, purchases etc. , all copied twice

for the odd rare time i do have to print, and I dont like it! my 14 year old HP inkjet still works fine, even months between pages!

and the odd 'ARR matey' thing that i come accross
Here is one of my computers. It's getting to be quite old now.

The 1.5TB drive is an external USB3 but only working under 2.5Gbps bandwidth at minute instead of 5.0Gbps because the Motherboard it's attached to is only Pci-e v1.0a

ARRR matey? you got the setup for it! :w00t:
that had more gear in it that my 4 machines all stuck together!
Not what you are thinking.:lol That's is a small selection of odds I own

As mentioned before on here when insinuations of piracy wink*wink were mentioned it simply is not the case. I beta test Imgburn (all media and drives paid for from my pocket no financial gain either)
There is a Sammy on there used to backup my xbox 360 games but games are so cheap at minute (I am still using verb 2.4x MKM that I bought 3 years ago for £2 each bought over 300 (lots of games for 360 end up £4.99 now ) it's hardly worth backing them up anymore.

I used to buy 5 dvd writers a month if not more when they were released to test with various media that has slowed down to none in about 1 year think last one I bought was Optiac 7240s due to a bit of ill health.

After posting this I see I guessed correctly that posts would take the turn they did. eg the ones just before this one with the snide remarks:lol
ARRR matey? you got the setup for it! :w00t:

lol wtf. that many optical drives... really?

Really not trying to hide that a piracy machine are you, that PC is basically just for churning out pirate films.

note "one of my computers"

err my post wasn't snide... was just adding to jubbyme's surprise post "that had more gear in it that my 4 machines all stuck together!" that that was just "one" of your computers.

your comprehension of other peoples posts are really low... as shown in the thread where the dude was looking for sata ports when he's most likely looking for usb ports.

take time to try and understand what people are saying before diving in with your obvious jokes (that are not funny) or telling that dude to get a specific chipset when he doesn't know his sata from his usb!

edit to add... your post that ive quoted sounds epically sad man...

1st I was referring to dcx_ post not yours but looking again at "note one of etc" I think someone else would see that as a bit snide.

When someone on here posts http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/621774/sata-connection-on-motherboard?t=621774

It indicates they are wanting more Sata ports don't ya think.

However you need to ask based on their initial what would you like to connect to these sata ports. (cos if you want to run optical drives on them choose wisely or waste money cos they turn out duff discs, fal t o work at all or have commands blocked)

They don't appear to like the ide of using sata to ide adapter because of the slowdown (now it might well be they are confused about the usb /sata ports however until they come back and tell us a bit more info)

My jokes are not funny what "name 12" They might be funny if understood they may not either way Im not going to lose any sleep over that.

btw which post of mine did you quote ?
Oh dear, lets call today Serious Sunday

if you post a pic of your computer specs, people will make fun of it, its hardly run-of-the-mill
why is the bold SAD it was typed to avoid SNIDE comments about probably getting paid for doing that job and how lucky I should be

If you can't understand that that is your problem. However I'll give you a clue. Google and read the first bit of my post about optical drives with sata addon cards.
so you sit there burning stuff to check that imgburn works? and you pay to do it. lol hawsomes.

Yes I used to test media and drives with new versions of ImgBurn to make sure they all worked together and to put that info onto the internet in various forums where users needed help with various aspects of DVD burning etc . I did it for free.
let me make the quotes a little easier to understand for you:

that someone later posts:

but you're so wrapped up in your lame chipsets that you can't think that his original post was incorrect and that he is actually looking for an internal usb port that you write:

can you not understand that he most likely needs a usb port and not a sata port?

You think that then fine. you may well be right who cares if you are right or not. but I am not the only one who thought they wanted a SATA card.

But here is maybe the biggest clue. from their post.
I just want a sata connection to run the front usb ports available on my tower, and the current two i am using is for the hard drive and the optical drive, so what would you suggest I do i.e what shall i use the pci card for and the normal sata connections for? thanks
Anyways enjoy the rest of your day
i will if you no longer post your "jokes" in my threads or tell me how old the information in my threads are. If you have useful information then great as you obviously know lots (about cd burning atleast). but your jokes are like my dad's jokes. so obvious and unfunny that i find it hard to speak to you properly in that thread after you have spoilt it with your troll joke.

which one >?

edit i will try and find that out now by looking at all the posts you started and I will give an honest assessment of the level of sadness caused by my typing in your threads
oh lawd...dcx please tell me you have taken the plastic/stickers off that tv/monitor
this one is enough i am a sensitive soul, and look at your posts in other peoples threads too:

That was meant as a tip. You started a tip thread I post a tip : lol how the hell is that bad what I typed not everyone knows.

I post in lots of thread 99.9 times out of 100 it's not malicious or intended as such.

If you are are referring to where I jokingly mentioned I had not had sex for 11 years and I feel guilty now(the joke being that it was that good that i may have made the earth move causing that earthquake to happen) that I posted in the Chile earthquake. Yes it may have been in semi bad taste I have seen a lot worse on here and even worse stuff going round sms messages but I sort of apologised for it after even though really it was not that bad
Plastic was on the TV/Monitor because I only got it 3 weeks before I was moving so thought may aswell keep it on till after the move, it's not on anymore. And it's on the PC still because it was a new front aswell, but don't have that PC anymore.

ok, u get let off :p
