3 men eat out, the bill is £30, they split it £10 each + pay cash. The waiter comes back over + says the meal only comes to £25, so gives each a pound back and keeps £2 as a tip. So each pays £9. 9 x 3 = 27 and 27 + 2 = 29. Where did the last £ go?

30-3=27. There is no +2 if the waiter keeps the tip from the payment...(s)he never took it from the money he gave back.

25 for payment, 2 to keep, 3 returned.

1 / 3 = 0.333333333
2 / 3 = 0.666666667

0.333333333 + 0.666666667 = 1

EPIC FAIL:-

1/3 = 0.33333333333333333333333
2/3 = 0.66666666666666666666666

Both wrong. Must have been a very small explosive to blow your mind. :p

Oh I forgot that maths A level candidates only know how to use calculators these days :-D
