NB. he agrees his idea may not work and that the point of his statement is to draw debate

not bothered if they legalise it tbh, it will generate large amounts of income for the government via tax

i woulnt smoke it more than i already do, which isnt very often
#4
the only thing that bothers me about this is (if made legal) if people smoke it round their kids like some parents smoke fags around them

dont smoke it ourselves anyway....but i know people that do (and no they are not the ones who smoke round their kids)

Don't do it, never have.

I don't see why it's illegal as it seems less destructive than booze. It would also introduce another revenue stream from taxes as well as guarantee that nothing nasty has been added to what people are smoking. They would need to keep it confined to 'cafe's' as well as decriminalizing home use but have a spot fine for using in the street.

Offset by the up and coming health crisis that it would lead to you'd need that extra income, I lost two good friends to the supposed 'safe' drug, "they could handle it", "only do a bit" etc, next thing you know both paranoid schizophrenic's, they've never been the same since, I'm not preaching its just a shame they were good blokes, some can handle it but you'll never know till its too late

Which just goes to show that despite being legal it's still readily available. The only people benefiting are the dealers apparently and I don't see the need to protect their livelihood.

And whilst you might draw a conclusion that 'the extra income would be offset by a health crisis', it's also fair to suggest that people would be better educated on it and the available drugs would be of a better quality. You'd also keep people in the system so that any underlying psychological issues that would lead them to abuse drugs would be treated.

You can just cook with it instead so you don't have to smoke it. I for one are glad they are trying to legalise it, not only would it free up police time, reduce drunken volience and can tax it as well, but they can also monitor it so stonger types wouldnt be allowed.

Not everyone keeps dead people in their house and pretends it's their 'fella', so that statement is true even though F&F did just **** up

I think it's becuase if classed as illegal people automatically put it in the 'bad' stable. Things like Cocaine and Heroin are bad. Personally i've never smoked pot but if it was bad then Doctors wouldn't be able to prescribe it in some cases for pain relief.

If Cannabis was legalised then it would cut a lot of crime and stop many people being smuggled into the country to be abused and left to run the farms.
