The frosties one is fairly irritating
ANY nestle one makes my skin crawl
I do however love the dancing car advert :-D

All the Barbie adverts - just when you think they've done everything, they bring out another thing!

Also, the Lloyds TSB advert - it looks more like it should be an ad for Virgin Trains or something.

I'm sure there's more, but I can't remember them right now :whistling:

EDIT: Just remembered another - that "Lil' Ellie Kelly Shoes" advert

For me it has to be the PC World adverts! They are so annoying! I dont see how any marketing manager in their right mind can think that they actually look good!

Plus its a misleading advert - firstly you can never actually find a member of staff to talk to and when you do they are never that friendly (although if they acted like they do in the adverts I think I would have to punch them!!)

i was in a pc world advert a while ago!

what is the advert where the woman goes out in the mans shirt?
i dont think i have seen that one

Were you the one who bought the dual core laptop on the basis that you could listen to music AND write emails at the same time:w00t:

There are so many annoying adverts. I have to change the channel when Sheila's Wheels comes on and anything that involves adults talking like babies.

Hasting Direct -arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggh

The advert where the kid is taking a crap.

Always comes on at dinner time.

What bothers me more about that one is the dubbing - you can clearly see at times, the kid is not even saying a thing (mouth is shut), but when they are, it's definitely not in sync, so makes it look poorly made - I've just not actually thought about what he's actually doing on the toilet in depth (as like you said, dinner time...):whistling:

You mean the 'It's all gone, it's all gone' advert?
God I hate that advert, and those stupid air freshener adverts with the animals.

*Shivers* Just remembered the WORST!!

That dumb woman on the phone getting a 25K loan ... capital direct??? Can't remember ... Hope her house gets repossessed!
#15
Do you mean the Geordie woman? "I think dad's found yer scoo'ah."

It always bemuses me how the people in these loan/debt consolidation adverts always seem to live in extremely nice 5-bedroom houses - i.e. exactly the opposite of most people who need loans and have debt problems.

I completely agree!! If they cant be bothered to make an advert specifically for a British audience, then I cant be bothered to watch it or even consider their product!! (I think aquafresh had a similar sort of ad a few years back).
#23
I always think it's funny when you see adverts where when they show the product, it's obvious that new packaging has been digitally stuck over either old packaging or foreign packaging. It's usually breakfast cereals and cleaning products. Does anyone know what I mean? You can usually see that the image of the packaging looks 'wobbly' and a bit fuzzy around the edges.
#24
Whilst I agree that all the adverts mentioned above are really rubbish and annoying, I have got to admit that they all actually work and achieve their aim.

An advert is designed to stick in your head and make you recall the product/service being advertised. This can be acheived through numerous ways (eg. humour), but making a rubbish advert will equally stick in your mind and get people (like us) talking about it.

If you are in the supermarket looking for plughole unblocker, you will see cilit bang, remember the advert, and even if you hate the ad, will be more likely to buy the product. This applies to most people (some people will hate it so much they will avoid at all costs but most wont).
#25
People stop talking about cilit bang ... I have to do a retake everytime!! Damn my smutty mind!

Love that song in the saab advert:

i love barry scott

hes a legend!

i was in a pc world advert as i used to work for PCservicecall - so i was in the call centre pretending to be on the phone helping someone

i hate the guinness advert with the men in the bar - and then it goes backwards................
why do you hate that advert karl............i hear you ask

i hate it because the advert is running backwards...ok - at the end the slug drinks the water then makes the blurgh noise - - but if it was running backwards this wouldnt happen (as he would be blughing before the drink)

petty i know

right - im off to clean my pennys with cilit bang

Its bloody annoying, but do yuo know that its a **** take of Aussie ads? ALL the ads on Aussi tv are like that! No joke! And in a half hour show they show 4 to 5 sets of advertisements! Lets count ourselves lucky and lets watch bbc instead.
#36
Sheilas wheels bugs the hell out of me

Have to say, I dont like the charity adverts - they are upsetting and should not be shown around kids programmes/before watershed in my opinion. I already donate regularly, I dont need images like that trying to persuade me. Worst of all, what if someone you know has just died because of smoking/drink driver/cancer etc?

Fav one at the moment is probably the tyranasaurus Alan one!
#37
Surely one of the cleverest adverts at the moment is the Skoda one where they make a complete car out of confectionary -Mmm man i just lurve the cake!...

I disagree. Surely if someone you did know died from smoking/drink driver/cancer etc then you'd want to let people know that it did happen and the adverts are just a way of getting the message across. Like the one when there are 3 men in a bar and a lady comes over and they're talking amongst themselves saying 'she's looking at you' and he's having his second drink although saying 'I've already had one, I'm driving' would make you think (not you personally) that 5hit, I better stop drink driving - I don't want that to happen.
#39
My favourite ad at the moment is also the Skoda cake one, very well done for a car advert. But my favourite car advert was that Honda one where something happened, made another thing happen and created a chain reaction that lasted ofr minutes.

With some DVR/PVR boxes with hard disks, people can do away with ads altogether and watch programs when they choose to and are free to do so.
