Thats not fair, they should give it to students who got Grade A!! I want free tickets!:giggle: Hopefully not many people got U's though and I suppose people that didn't do as well as they wanted deserve a free holiday! :)

I hate Ryanair with a passion and this just makes me hate them even more.

Why should someone who cant be bothered to study for, and take an exam, properly be rewarded with a free flight??
#6
Thats just encouraging people to fail. Definatly not going to do our country any good lol.

Most people try their hardest and due to other circumstances they get a grade U. A lot of the time it can be down to bad teaching that someone would get a U. Only a small minority can't be bothered and I mean a small minority so I think it is harsh to say they can't be bothered studying. I am not excusing ryanair for this in any means.

i was close to getting a u for maths i tried aswell and my teacher was below average but you cant just blame the teacher.

I am not "just" blaming the teacher. In some cases this is true though, a teacher can easily affect your grade if you know they dislike you. It has happened to me twice in the past 2 years, although i somehow managed to avoid a U on both occasions, slightly though.

I can understand for GCSEs, but these are A-Levels we are talking about. These people CHOSE to go into further education and CHOSE to study the subjects they are taking exams on. If they get a U in these, then they are either not trying, or very bad at making decisions!

Hope they do this for GCSE's too, will be able to prove I have 8 of them :)
#12
Is that for the subject, or just one of the modules???
#13
Is this a wind up? where is the link...nothing on the Ryanair site
#14
Its always the way. My local council takes the kids who are likely to misbehave to alton towers on mischief night (before halloween) - firstly they are rewarding them for being naughty, and secondly they bring them back in time for mischief night anyway!

you got 8 U's in your GCSE's???? Is that even possible?!?!?!?
#20
Are people actually annoyed about this??
I thought it was just a joke, i don't think it's encouraging anybody to "not try". You have to think, would anyone choose to waste a year for a free ticket? I don't think so. :)

At last a reason to sit a general studies exam! I knew there had to be something it was good for. I didn't bother with it when I did my A-levels, but I would have gone in and put my name on the paper and left again for a free flight!
Not sure the college would have approved, they have to pay to enter students in exams.

Noticed that when I was doing my voluntary course, the chavs got days off and taken out and expensive new clothes and bus fares paid etc
