Just checking. Are you sure it has truly packed up? It might just be the brushes on the motor (if the drum is not moving).

Maybe not cheap but most Tesco direct stores have 'take away today' washing machines in store which might be worth looking at because your average internet store or comet/currys/dixons take about a week to deliver by which time your going to have piles of washing.

the large B & Q's have a lot in and some on offer ones compare very well with other places

Its A Servis Easylogic 1600 It Has Probs With Pcb And Motor But Prob Be £100s To Fix

You are probably right. I watch a guy fix our machine a few years ago. Took him 20 minutes and charged £75.00. Next time around I did it myself. Unfortunately the service people can rip us off at will if we don't know what the problem is.

The dreaded service machines,,,,,,I bought one from tesco direct 3 weeks out of the 12 month

warranty...dies,, took it to bits to find the pcb burnt out...replacement was well over £100 quid..

replaced with a tricity bendix from john Lewis with a 2 year warranty....great Machine and cheap

You should have demanded a repair as tesco's would have probably honoured it being so close to the end of warranty. The sale of goods act would have protected you for about 5 years for a washing machine.
