I use an Epson R200 that was pretty cheap and gives good results on the right quality of disks.

i can second this, the ip4300 series from canon is an amazing printer. Epson image quality, HP text quality. auto duplex printing and cd printing.

5 ink carts which are not too bad to replace, and last for a long time.

good luck! (cant find it on amazon tho) cheap on collect at store pc world tho.

WHERE FROM?

local ink shop but you have to mess about removing the chip from the origional cartridge and putting it on the compatable one then turn off ink monitoring, a bit of a pain, i do miss the epson for that reason

A printer that can print DVDs? Technology is getting way to advance these days. I guess that saves time with buying and renting them then doesnt it?

buy genuine carts. not many epsons take £5.99 inks.

always buy genuine. it screws the warranty if u dont. especially on single head printers like epson and canon.

espon inks are cheap, but thats compats. (same as IP4300) we've had compats and not only do you have swap the chips etc, but they dont work half the time

originals are more expensive. yes, the canon takes 5 (2black, 1x blue, pink, yellow) but the last twice as long as the epson. Price ranges (for new), from £30 (Amazon), to £62 (pcworld etc).

Wouldnt have any other printer as this is brill. I have a new (ex display, never used) IP4200 you could have for £20 plus PnP (thats if I can find it amongst all my packed up boxes)

Disco - if the OP isn't interested then I might be depending on the postage costs.
