few more things to try.
In Internet Explorer go to Tools / Manage Add Ons and see if there are some unknown addons there which you may be able to disable. You can always re-enable them if need be.
Also do a search for the "prefetch" folder and delete everything in it. This holds all items to load them quicker once you have used them, its also a place where they like to hide these so that they just reload when you restart.
Also depending on what windows version you have try "windows defender"

You may also need to do this in safe mode as suggested

Have you googled it now you have found out what it is ? Also have a look at
http://majorgeeks.com/download3155.html hijackthis will give you a file output which will also show if anything else is on your computer, and point you in the right direction of how to get rid of it.

Hi Rappy, I had a similar experience about a month ago with a browser hijacker (nightmare!) I would reccomend hijack this too, easily downloeaded from the link provided by alan04

They also have an automatic log analyser tool too ( you still need to download hijackthis to use it), think this is the link to the one I used -
http://www.hijackthis.de/

You just do your system scan (its quick) and then copy and paste your logfile - good luck!! As always, be careful when deleting anything :)

Hijackthis is a very powerful tool and you need to very careful what you are doing with it hun. Don't get ticking this and t'other or you WILL knacker your pc lol. On the other hand it's a great tool for things like this, just make sure you read up carefully so don't delete anything important.

did you run the scans in safe mode ?

another thing that you could try is to create a new user. Control Panel / User Accounts / Manage Accounts / Create User. Create it as an Administrator with a password so that programs cant install themselves in to this account without requiring a password.

Then reboot and log on to the new account which should be spyware / malaware free and run your scans again.
