have done some magazines on this site with a £1 subscription and usually after a month i cancell it using my banks online facility to cancell diorect debits and standing orders. i also did "what investment" from http://www.ccplcwebsite.co.uk/index.htmhttp://www.ccplcwebsite.co.uk/index.htm

but have now found out when ilooked at my account today they do it differently. they have your details and represent it again so unless you cancell it direct with them they reapply for the money each year. ive spoke to them and they say it's not their policy to give refunds, so it looks like i'm going to get a year subscription of a magazine i dont want. anyone got any ideas as to what i can do to get my refund.

Go back to the T&Cs of the original agreement - I suspect you'll find it says something in there about cancelling in writing or letting them know, as opposed to just cancelling your Direct Debit.

Doubt there's much you can do.

Tell them you sent them a letter and they have choose to ignore it i.e so it's their fault so their problem. Even write up a the letter for their attention if neccessary.

Tell them they also confirmed they received the letter and confirmed cancelation was in process.

This is what I would do :)

They would probably ask for a copy of email/letter they supposedly sent and say that it is not on their records (well it wouldnt be would it!) and therefore not valid

Quick question, why did you sign up for a magazine you dont want anyway? Even if it was free, if I didnt want the magazine then I wouldnt send off for it.....

theres a lot of offers online where u get a free gift with a mag and then it offers u it was 1note for the first 3 months or something..ive seen some good 1's with decent free stuff on them but ive never bothered bcos i always thought there must b a catch bcos surely every1 would buy 3 isues at 1note if the free gifts where worth over 20notes like ive seen in some of them
