THIS IS NOT A DEAL - BUT PLEASE READ ON BEFORE YOU VOTE!
Tesco must be feeling the credit crunch as they have halved the clubcard points on petrol. From the beginning of November you earn only 1 clubcard point for every £2 spent on petrol. To save you the calculations, this means that, when the price of petrol/diesel is over £1 as it is now, and you have the option of refueling at "Tesco" petrol @ 115.9p per litre and "Other" [email protected]
per litre, you'll be better off refueling at "Other". Previously, taking the clubcard points into consideration, the “Tesco” petrol provided better value.
However, it would appear that if you use a Tesco credit card to buy fuel at their petrol stations you still earn 2 clubcard point for every £2 spent. In this case you are better off refueling at “Tesco”.
For the avoidance of doubt, if you purchase e.g. £35.99 worth of Tesco petrol and pay by cash, cheque or any other debit/credit card you will get 17 Clubcard points; Tesco credit card shoppers will get 35 points.
SO THIS IS MORE OF A TIP REALLY.
