Finally! Can't wait, it looks awesome!
Microsoft has confirmed that 1 vs. 100 will be playable in the UK from this Friday, the 10th July. Enter and you can win prizes including gadgets, Microsoft Points and a car.
The news was confirmed by Microsoft EMEA Community Manager Graeme Boyd, via a post on his Twitter account. More details then appeared on Xbox.com.
The show, which is free to play for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, is a very slick interactive gameshow where you answer trivia questions to win prizes. The UK version is, for once, that bit more special than the US edition because we can win real-world prizes. These have yet to be confirmed, but our exclusive first play of the game a couple of months back revealed that the list will include cameras, laptops, cars and holidays.
The big prizes are only for The One, a player elevated to centre stage who must fight The Mob (another 100 players) to answer all questions correctly. The more of the Mob who answer incorrectly and drop out, the more The One's prize pot increases.
If you aren't either, you can still play along from the audience, which is what makes the whole thing so neat. The main experience of watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - apart from wanting to punch Chris Tarrant in his smug, jowly face - is shouting the answers at the screen so you feel smarter than the main player. In 1 vs 100, you can just whack the button and prove it.
